I trained my first dog as a child, with information I had learned from books and watching Animal Planet, before the internet was commonplace—but my passion for dog training truly ignited when I got out of the military and I trained my own service dog, Rocky…
I adopted him the day before he was supposed to be euthanized and he has fundamentally changed my life. After years of loyal service, my recovery progressed to the point where I was able to retire Rocky, but I knew he was not the only dog facing euthanasia who had amazing talents to unlock. I felt like I had to help other people connect with their dogs the same way I connected with Rocky.
So I started training dogs professionally in 2018 and have worked with hundreds of dogs since then. I love figuring out what makes each individual dog tick, because no two dogs are exactly the same. With my natural gift for reading their body language it doesn’t matter if it’s a puppy learning the basics or a dog that’s been labelled “dangerous” with a lengthy bite history; I am able to customize all of my training packages to meet the goals and needs of the dogs and their owners. Through positive reinforcement training, and collaborations with local rescues, I will save as many dogs as possible.
